Its time to patch up your windows, the patch fixes the ALPC zero day system-compromising issue (Windows Task Scheduler’s Advanced Local Procedure Call function), revealed on 27 August.
This vulnerability allows a program launched by a restricted Windows user to gain more powerful administrative access on the system. The code flaw can be triggered simply by viewing an image file in Windows. A user opening the wrong image even with a browser is enough to trigger the code.
Do not forget to take backup before you apply the latest patch from windows.
